Mural at Southland Shopping Center

At Brixmor, we strive to make our centers the center of the community. That vision came to life at Southland Shopping Center in Middleburg Heights, OH, where we partnered with the City of Middleburg Heights and local artist Hector Vega to add a 72-foot mural celebrating the city’s identity, featuring everything from its historic landmarks to its natural beauty. “Supporting the creation of this mural was a natural extension of our mission to create vibrant, welcoming destinations that reflect the unique character of the neighborhoods we serve,” said Mike Minns, Sr. Property Manager. This project is a testament to how strategic collaboration and thoughtful investment in public art can elevate a shopping center and foster community pride.
