Proactive merchandising at College Plaza

David Gerstenhaber, Head of Leasing, shows how we create value through proactive remerchandising to create properties that truly are the center of the communities they serve. In Selden, located about an hour outside of New York City on Long Island, Brixmor leveraged the traffic draw of beloved grocer ShopRite to add one of the first U.S. showrooms for U.K.-based kitchen cabinet retailer Wren Kitchens. We also added Burlington Stores and Five Below, along with cleaning up our frontage by acquiring outparcels along the road and constructing new buildings for Aspen Dental and Chick-fil-A. The center’s merchandising now better reflects and serves the 101,000 people within three miles of the center.
