Haig B. Buchakjian

Haig has served in his current role at Brixmor Property Group since September 2023, when he was named Chief Transformation Officer. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President, Operations from 2015 until his promotion in 2023. Haig joined New Plan Excel Realty Trust, Inc., a predecessor of Brixmor, in 2002 as Project Manager and held several positions, including Senior Vice President, Construction, Senior Development Director and Vice President, Construction.

We always look to do better, and are committed to making that happen.” Haig believes success hinges on the local team. “It starts with the leasing agent and property manager, what they focus on - the tenants, the look, and the sense of place where the local community can feel it is their own. Haig also oversees the company's efforts towards developing and maintaining a sustainable business enterprise through focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations. “True Corporate Responsibility means ensuring every aspect of the business operates consistent with our vision and mission.”

Haig is a licensed professional engineer and is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and ICSC where he serves on the planning committee for the Centerbuild Conference. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University and an M.B.A from Columbia University. He lives outside New York City with is wife and three children.
