Aldi boosts traffic at Parkway Plaza

Adding a grocer to increase daily needs traffic in a dense location like NY suburb Carle Place is yet another example of how Brixmor delivers value for our shareholders. Located in Nassau County in the epicenter of retail on Long Island, Parkway Plaza is surrounded by 360K people within a 10-minute drive as well as a large daytime population of 267K within 3 miles. The center has been recently transformed with the addition of a grocer Aldi which stimulated follow-on leasing with six new small shop leases, including first-time Long Island locations for Cobs Bread and Dave’s Hot Chicken. Combined with one of the country’s top value retailers T.J.Maxx, Parkway Plaza now has the best retail lineup in his 35 years of working on the property, according to Brixmor Leasing Regional VP Nick Andreadis.
